Check your garages, basements, and everywhere else for Troop 301 gear (tents, coolers, lanterns, water filters, etc.) and bring them to the meeting on July 23rd. We're doing a gear inventory!
If you have Troop gear in your possession from a previous campout (tent, patrol box, dining fly, Dutch oven, etc.) please return it to Monday's Troop meeting.
The Blinded Veterans Association (BVA) asks for Volunteers to serve 4-hour-long shifts at local airports on August 21st & 22nd, and again Aug. 26th & 27th. Alexandria-based BVA is led by Visually Impaired Veterans focused on advocacy, mentorship and ambassadorship vital to all military Veterans and families coping with sight loss regardless of service connection. Both Scouts and adult leaders are needed.
Unfortunately, Goshen closed Camp Bowman for week 3 due to a covid outbreak among staff. I will follow up with families this week that expressed interest in provisional camping and/or week 4/week 5.
Money for camp cards, and/or unsold camp cards, must be turned into to Mr. Scheeler at Monday's meeting. Scouts will be responsible to paying for any unsold camp cards not turned in by then.
