You should have received this in your email, but I wanted to be sure to share it here:
Dear NCAC Family Member,
My name is Craig Poland, and I serve as the Scout Executive for the Washington metropolitan area. First, let me say thank you for being a part of our local Scouting program. Your participation helps fulfill the mission of the Boy Scouts of America: to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
We have Scouts enjoying Sea Base and the Virginia waterways this weekend. Reports from both units indicate all are doing well and having fun. My thanks to the adult volunteers making these outings possible!
Recharter time is starting earlier this year. To help us prepare, please confirm that you will be continuing in the Troop via this form. We need to have our 2023 roster prepared by early October, so your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
We need a final headcount for the Antietam campout - December 2-4. We will plan for this campout at the November 21 meeting. If you are planning to attend, please let us know by Monday's meeting. I'll forward permission slips later this weekend.
Adult volunteers - you should have received via email a form that requires signature for the Arlington Diocese. Please sign and return ASAP. If you did not receive this form, please contact Dan Scheeler.
Adult volunteers - you must complete a background check form (attached) to be included in recharter. Please complete and return to Mr. Scheeler. If you are a merit badge counselor, you must turn in a form to the District - see the details below:
